Women-owned firms in the United States employ 7.6 million people and generate $1.2 trillion in receipts. This is due in part to the rapid growth of minority owned businesses.* Though these numbers are impressive, we know there is still work to be done.
SELF MADE is working to democratize the landscape for these women and offers easy access to daily business hacks via their mobile devices. The SELF MADE app is a companion to a new book written by Nely Galán and published by Random House.
Galán, the nation’s youngest station manager and a multimedia mogul, created a step-by-step guide that empowers women to be self-reliant and rich in every way by harnessing the power of entrepreneurship. The book launches May 31st.
The SELF MADE app allows the user to access daily tips and hacks for becoming self-made, including strategies for getting funded, starting a side-hustle, and most importantly, connecting to Galan’s “Golden Triangle” of resources—“hidden money” that can help jump-start and grow their small business. Through the app, women entrepreneurs will be able to network with other self-made women in the mobile community and pursue business opportunities.
